The oldest of her immediate family and the middle of a large extended family, homeschooling K-12 was a privileged space for Amy to grow in relationship and self-discovery. When her nose wasn't in a schoolbook (or any other book), she was out roaming the forests and fields, mothering her many farmcats, or creatively employing the costume box.
A year in Bible college and two years as a missionary taught Amy the beauty of intentional community and lived faith, values she sees daily upheld by The Gilbertine Institute and WISDOM. Amy's appreciation for alternative and creative learning styles continues to grow as she finishes her online BA track in English in the Humanities, a Socratic experience not all that different from the WISDOM Online Courses she enjoyed in high school.
Amy is excited to return to The Gilbertine Institute as a full time Administrative Assistant after a short break to get married to her long distance love of many years, Kyle, in June of 2023.
