Calgary & Area Spring Social

When: Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 9:30am-5pm
Where: Heritage Park, Calgary

Cost: $5/person for those who pre-register through the WISDOM website and be sure to indicate the appropriate age category for each individual attending; children 2 years and under are free. Note: Please register online even if you have an annual membership, there will be no additional charges.

Note: regular gate admission will be required for those who do not pre-register through the WISDOM website.

This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a day at Canada's largest living history museum with other homeschoolers. It is open to all current WISDOM home schooling families as well as those families who are contemplating home schooling with WISDOM in the future. This is a great opportunity to visit with other home schoolers and members of the WISDOM team and find out more about how WISDOM can serve you best.

Families will meet at the gate at 9:30am sharp!

(Note: If unforeseen circumstances arise and you are going to be late, please text Carrie or Liz with your name, the number of people and your arrival time, and we will try to make alternate arrangements for your family. This will be helpful, so the group is not waiting unnecessarily. Thank you for your cooperation.)

Schedule:

9:30am – Group will meet in Town Square, just outside the admission gate. After group enters, families can tour around.

12:30-1:30pm – Group will meet at the Fair Grounds, in the green space for lunch. Watch for the balloons. Lunch will not be provided. There will be WISDOM pamphlets and information available.

1:30pm – Your family can tour the remainder of the park.

5:00pm – Park closes and event ends.

Please bring: A picnic lunch for your own family, water bottles, sunscreen, hats, and whatever you need to be outside for the day. There are a number of stores and restaurants to buy souvenirs and food on site. You are also able to pre-purchase a "Tasty Treat" coupon when you register online through WISDOM for $3.50+GST. (The Tasty Treat Coupon will give you a choice of one treat, either 2 cookies, 1 ice cream cone, 1 bag of popcorn or 1 candy floss.)
