Meet and Greet - Peace Region STEM Lab - Beaverlodge

Beaverlodge Coding Academy is hosting a meet and greet to give potential students and their parents an oppoturnity to learn more about their upcoming 6-Week Cyberdeck & Applied Computer Science Laboratory program.

We are hosting a hands-on 6-Week Cyberdeck & Applied Computer Science Laboratory designed specifically for junior high and high school students (ages 12–17) in the Peace Region.

Rather than standard screen-time coding, our program merges physical electronic engineering with practical software development:

• Hardware Engineering: Students assemble their own custom, standalone Linux computer terminal ("cyberdeck") built on a 4GB Single Board Computer framework.
• Terminal & Python Coding: Youth navigate Linux OS terminal environments, program external components via physical breadboards and GPIO pins, and automate local network scripts.
• Curriculum Alignment: Coursework aligns directly with Alberta Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) and Computer Science learning outcomes.
