Does February March? No, but April May....

March 15, 2018

Well, I certainly feel like March is marching on into spring, and it's a great feeling! For my family, the longer days have revived our spirits and renewed our desire to get the book work done in favour of starting garden seedlings indoors and looking for signs of life outside.

Here in the office, we're busy preparing for conference season. We hope to see your smiling faces in Red Deer at the AHEA Convention, April 12-14 in Red Deer... more on that in another email.

Meanwhile, make sure you read the important information below.

Spring and Summer Events

Rock climbing, Dance, Knife-making, Race Day, Drama, outdoor rock climbing 1 and 2, and Baseball are open for registration.

Note! Baseball Camp dates were incorrect in the camps booklet we mailed out to you. Actual dates for this back-to-school camp are August 23-25.

Mediated Learning Courses

Make your homeschooling even better with these tools. Expand your mediation toolbox with our subject-specific courses, or if you're new to ML, get your foundation in Mediation beginning on April 9th.

Receipt Submission Deadline

Funding for the second half of the year will be available for Purchase Order on April 9, and at the AHEA convention, too.

Submit receipts to us by March 29 in order to receive a refund on May 15. Don't forget that Good Friday is a postal holiday and be sure your submission is post marked no later than the 29th. Otherwise, the last submission deadline of the year is May 31 with a refund date of July 16.

**NEW** Carry-Over Form

If you have any un-claimed funding remaining at the end of the year, you have the option to carry it over to next school year. New this year is the option of carrying over a percentage of un-claimed funding.

If you wish to carry over funding, please complete this form and submit it to us no later than June 30 (June 29 postmark if you are sending it in the mail). Note: This form is the only method for carrying funding over.

Unclaimed funding that is not carried over is used to support WISDOM programs, events and services.

If you're not receiving the bi-monthly WISDOM Family Magazine, please let us know, as it contains important information for your family. Be sure you're reading communication from us so you don't miss any important details. (Example, if you didn't read this paragraph you wouldn't know that we're giving away a WISDOM mug - those who respond to this email will be entered in a draw to be held on March 19.)

Your facilitator is on the road (or will be soon), meeting with families and preparing for next year. Have you started your Education Program Plan for next year? Please do, as it would be helpful to have it ready before your visit.

As always, let us know how we can best serve you.
